It started the way it always does. Someone asked me what cologne to get their boyfriend for his birthday. I gave them three options with reasoning. They came back a week later saying he loved it.

Then their friend asked. Then their coworker. Pretty soon I was the unofficial cologne consultant for everyone I know.

I got tired of typing the same recommendations into text messages, so I started writing them down properly. That became this site.

What I Actually Do

I own a lot of cologne. I wear it every day. When I recommend something, it's because I've worn it myself or spent serious time researching it.

But I'm upfront: I haven't personally owned every fragrance on this site. What I have done is read hundreds of reviews, watched comparison videos, and paid attention to what real people say about these scents. When the consensus is clear, I share it. When opinions are split, I tell you that too.

The guides are written for people buying cologne as gifts. That's a different job than writing for fragrance collectors. You need safe choices, clear recommendations, and honest answers about what actually smells good to the people around you.

No Gatekeeping

The fragrance world can be intimidating. People throw around terms like “sillage” and “dry down” like everyone should just know what they mean.

I write for normal people who want to buy something that smells great. No pretension, no judgment if your budget is $30 or $300. Good cologne exists at every price point.
